The Diddy trial has finally begun–and it will be televised.

After being arrested last year, Diddy has been sitting in a jail cell waiting for this week. Given Diddy’s high profile and all his celebrity friends, there is plenty of interest in the trial. Will names be named?

Starting Friday (May 9), ABC News will broadcast a daily program entitled Burden of Proof: The Case Against Diddy.”

Each episode will run 30 minutes and is scheduled for 5:30 pm EDT. Eva Pilgram, co-anchor of “GMA3,” will host. Like what we saw with the OJ trial 30 years ago, each episode will analyze the evidence and testimony from each day of the trial.

The first episode will go into jury selection, which started Monday. Starting Monday (May 12)–the day opening statements should begin–the show will air every weekday for the rest of the trial with expert commentary and analysis.

If that’s not enough for you, ABC Audio and 20/20 will have twice-weekly podcasts entitled “Bad Rap: The Case Against Diddy.”

Once a jury has been seated, the trial is expected to last between eight and ten weeks.
