The fight between Jack White and Donald Trump just keeps getting better.

A few days ago, Jack White expressed his disgust at the whorehouse-like decor Donald Trump on which he’s imposed on the Oval Office. It’s truly gawdy and awful.

This butthurt the White House. Steven Cheung, the White House Communications director, fired back at Jack, calling him a “washed-up, has-been loser.” Gee, does he know that Jack still sells out shows and that the White Stripes are being inducted into The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame this fall? Probably not.

Jack loved the response. He posted this on Instagram:

“I was raised to believe that we defeated fascism in World War II and that we would never allow it again in the world. I don’t always state publicly my political opinions, and like anyone I don’t always know all of the facts, but when it comes to this man and this administration, I’m not going to be like one of the silent minority of 1930’s Germany. This man is a danger to not just America but the entire world, and that’s not an exaggeration. He’s dismantling democracy and endangering the planet on a daily basis, and we. all. know. it. -JW III… “To announce that there must be no criticism of the President, or that we are to stand by the President, right or wrong, is not only unpatriotic and servile, but is morally treasonable to the American public.” – Theodore Roosevelt

Jack and Trump have been sparing for a while. When Trump used “Seven Nation Army” for his campaigns in 2016 and 2024, Jack and Meg filed lawsuits for copyright infringement. They also released “Icky Thump” merch. (Look at the lyrics to understand why.)

Jack has also called Trump a conman on Instagram. Other targets have been Mel Gibson, Mark Wahlberg, Joe Rogan, and Guy Fieri for sucking up to Trump.

Keep up the fight, dude.
