The first round of special guests for the Taylor Hawkins tribute concerts has been released
The Foo Fighters are spending the summer organizing two special tribute concerts for Taylor Hawkins. The first, set for Wembley Stadium in London on September 3, will feature the following special guests:
- Brian May and Roger Taylor of Queen (good friends and members of Taylor’s favourite band)
- Josh Homme (Queens of the Stone Age and good friend of the Foos)
- Liam Gallagher (certainly buddies with Dave Grohl)
- Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson of Rush (more good buddies of the band)
- Chris Chaney of Jane’s Addiction (Taylor’s friend)
- Chrissie Hynde
- Supergrass
- Mark Ronson
- Dave Chappelle
The second show will be at the Forum in LA on September 27. No guests have been announced for that one yet.
You know who’s missing? Paul McCartney, the guy who inducted the Foos into The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Just wait, though, He’ll show up.

Please tell me the concerts will be recorded!
Hello
So massively glad that Taylor Hawkins family and the Foos members reach out to millions of fans around the world and organise these two concerts in London and Los Angeles.
Question here. Are these gigs TV broadcasted LIVE?? There are millions more than only approx 100.000 stadium fans who would give anything to be ‘in the moment’. Queen band members ( Brain May and Roger Taylor) might give them a hand when they put their farewell Freddy Mercury show on stage years ago in London.
