The Foo Fighters have just released a death-y, slashy song to go with their upcoming horror movie. And a full album is coming.

The Foo Fighters; horror movie, Studio 666, hits theatres later this month, so it’s time for the band to start ramping up the publicity machine, A quick synopsis: The band decamps to a haunted house to record an album. Things don’t go according to plan. Demons (and a 25-year-old tape left behind by a band called Dream Widow) are involved.

Something went wrong when Dream Widow tried to record in that same house. The singer went insane, murdered the rest of the band and then killed himself. That explains the bad ju-ju.

This song figures somewhere in the movie. If this long-lost song is completed, then all the demons of hell come to visit. It’s the most metal thing Dave has done since 2004’s Probot project.

This is just the start, too. A full-length thrash metal album will probably appear next week with the Foos performing as Dream Widow.
