The Gamefication of Music Discovery: Introducing Tradiio

Everyone likes to get presents and rewards. Just ask any psych lab rat working its way through a maze. This got some developers in Portugal thinking about how to gamefy the whole process of music discovery.

The result was Tradiio, a platform where you earn coins for listening to music. Follow the various challenges and missions and you end up encountering artists, songs and genres that you might otherwise find.  If you find something you like, you can invest your coins in it. If it catches on, you earn a return on your investment. Artists can also win rewards for being a top choice. That might include anything from a music video shoot to a slot at a festival.

In other words, it’s a combination A&R app and musical stock market.

I’m going to give it a shot. More details can be found here.
