The history of rock music in Vancouver

West Coast rock in North America is its own little thing, a musical melting pot that’s physically separated from the rest of the continent by the Rocky Mountains. Historically, this has meant that certain West Coast sounds and scenes are created in their own petri dishes. When it comes time to spread out, the mounts force the majority of travel north-south instead of west-east.
