The Holiday Crowd’s Budget Video Shoot

It wasn’t all that long ago that shooting a music video with nothing more than a cell phone was seen as a crazy guerilla stunt.  Today, though, the quality and resolution of what you get with, say, a typical iPhone is stunning.  Add in a couple of cool apps and it’s hard to tell one of these productions from the multi-million-dollar kind MTV used to run in the 90s.

A case in point:  The Holiday Crowd’s clip for “Pennies Found” for their excellent new record, Over the Bluffs, which was released today.  The video below was shot with an iPhone using the 8mm app.  Very, very cool.
