The Hotel Room That Comes with Vinyl and a Turntable

These days, finding an iPod dock in your hotel room is almost as common as finding a TV. Certain boutique-y places will go so far as including a fully-programming iPod, too.  But this is the first time I’ve ever heard of a hotel providing guests with a selection of vinyl.

The Scandic Grand Central in Stockholm features rooms with a record player and a stack of vinyl records.  Choose from Motown, classic rock or vintage 70s from artists like Cat Stevens.

Nice touch.  Here’s hoping there are are plenty of copycats.

Alan, you need only check out the v-hip Ace Hotel in NY next time you're there; turntables and vinyl in most rooms. The minibar is a band road case too with "PROVISIONS" stencilled on the side. One of the best lobby bars in NY too. -pw
