The Killers kill it in Niagara Falls: Photos and a review

Niagara Falls, Ontario, and the OLG stage played host Sunday evening, to what could only be described as a spectacular performance by The Killers.
The band arrived onstage to some classic Frank Sinatra, and the opening number included pyrotechnics, dazzling lights and frontman Brandon Flowers immediately taking control of the show and engaging the entire arena. Wasting no time at all they then dove right into their best-selling song “Mr. Brightside”. The energy from the audience and the intensity from the band at that point, made the building actually shake slightly.

Drummer Ronnie Vannucci, assisted with making the venue shake, by what I can only describe as an absolute masterclass of powerful rock ‘n’ roll drumming. The band’s set included more than 20 songs.
Brandon announced that this was the end of this leg of the tour and that they will work on writing the new album during their upcoming break.
The band did continue the tradition of allowing one audience member to come up and play drums on the song “For Reasons Unknown.” Brandon announced that this would be the last show that the band would allow that to happen. They then picked a gentleman from Toronto named Mike, who joined the band onstage, dove right in the deep end, and absolutely nailed it!

The crowd greeted Mike with a standing ovation at the end of the song as Mike took an on stage selfie with Brandon and Ronnie. Yes, Ronnie let him keep the drumsticks.

The encore of songs included more pyrotechnics and confetti being sprayed over the first level of the arena and the bands energy continued nonstop right until the last note. Mr. Flowers dressed to impress as always, then took a bow center, left and right, walked across stage and waved, said good night and exited stage left.
Quite simply they killed it.
