Boney M’s “Rasputin” was one of the great earworms of 1978, hitting number one in a dozen countries around the planet. But it hadn’t aged well and had been relegated to the status of semi-novelty song. But that was until TikTok came along.

The song has been rediscovered by TikTok users and a 30-second truncated form has taken the platform by storm. Streams are to almost eight million a week.
