The lineup has been announced for the Great American State Fair for the country’s 250th anniversary and…oh, dear.
The United States of America turns 250 on July 4, 2026, and there will naturally be a lot of celebrations across the country. That includes something called the Great American State Fair which will be held on the National Mall in Washington DC from June 25 to July 10.
This being America, you’d expect some of the biggest names in the nation to be part of the event right? Well, no.
Take a look at this list. Would you go to a regular country fair to see any of these acts?
- June 25 – Martina McBride: Solid. Major country star.
- June 26 – The I Love the 90s Tour. Well, some of that tour, anyway.
- C+C Music Factory: Yes, the “Gonna Make You Sweat” crew. Everybody will dance now, I guess.
- Vanilla Ice: Big MAGA man and performer at Mar-a-Largo. Also a washed-up rapper.
- Young MC: Okay, I suppose. Not exactly star power for 2026. HOWEVER, he has said he will have nothing to do with it.
- Milli Vanilli. You read that correctly. But it’ll only be Fab Morvan because Rob Pilatus committed suicide in 1998. Interesting that a band busted for being fake has been booked for a Trump event.
- June 27 –
- The Commodores: Huge R&B/AC band at one time. Will Lionel Ritchie be in the lineup?
- Morris Day and the Time: Prince’s buddy. HOWEVER, Morris has said he will NOT be there. (See below)
- July 2 – Flo Rida. Major star, so fine.
- July 3 – Brett Michaels without Poison. Great.
I have questions: Were the Village People too busy? And did everyone else turn down the gig?
