The Loneliest Nirvana Gig Ever (and Teenage U2 on TV)

When Nirvana was first starting out, no one cared.  Witness this video of a gig played at a Radio Shack in 1988 in front of…no one.

Plenty more at Ranker, including Green Day playing at recess, the first ever Rage Against the Machine gig and this 1978 gig by a VERY young U2/

  • Goodness – I remember going to Skinny Puppy's first gig in Calgary. It was held in the basement bar of some hotel in Calgary. Venue was called Club Notes and it was supposed to be the new alternative place. Honestly, if there were 14 people there that night (because I had double version from the cheap booze) I would have been surprised. Good show though – got my copy of Bites and a shot glass to commemorate the experience.
