Shazam can be a handy app when you hear a song that you like but don’t know the title or who does it. Every time someone uses it, valuable data is collected which is then used by everyone from artists and managers to labels and promoters.

The company regularly releases tidbits of information to the public, like this list of the most-Shazamed artists and songs so far in 2018.
