The new “ultimate mix” of Band Aid’s “Do They Know It’s Christmas” is out

“Do They Know It’s Christmas” was first released in 1984. An updated version came out in 2004 for its 20th anniversary and another in 2014 for its 30th. Is there a 40th-anniversary edition? What do you think?

Trevor Horn produced the new mix, which features all the voices (some more than one) from the three previous versions plus a few new ones.

  • Bono (three generations of Bono stretching back to 1984)
  • Sting
  • Boy George
  • Sam Smith
  • David Bowie
  • George Michael
  • Liam Payne
  • Ed Sheeran (against his will, apparently)
  • Harry Styles
  • Chris Martin
  • Guy Garvey
  • Sugarbabes
  • Bananarama
  • Seal
  • Sinead O’Connor
  • Rita Ora
  • Robbie Williams,
  • Kool and the Gang
  • Underworld
  • A ton more.
