The next big music documentary series will focus on…soft rock?

It’s called Sometimes When We Touch (after Canadian Dan Hill’s weepy song) and will appear on January 3 on Paramount+ in January. The three-part doc–subtitled The Reign, Ruin and Resurrection of Soft Rock, will cover everything from The Carpenters to Hall and Oates to Air Supply to Christopher Cross.

The documentary “embraces the impact of soft rock while acknowledging the cringey excesses that sometimes led it astray.” According to variety, a rejected title was Sometimes When We Cringe. Read more at Variety after you check out the trailer.
