The NHL has Snoop Dogg doing playoff promos because Snoop.

Remember the old days when any professional sports organization would run from anyone or anything that was involved in recreational drug use? Not the NHL. The league has Snoop Dogg to–get this–teach newbe fans a little more about the game in a role that can only be described as “brand ambassador.” Because, of course, when I need schooling in hockey, I turn to the Doggfather.

In fact, the video series is called “Snoop 101.” Shizzle. Suck it, Don Cherry.
