The Red Hot Chili Peppers have been teasing new music. A single called “Black Summer” is out today.

A little wavy video from the Chili Peppers’ recording/rehearsal space. This sounds pretty interesting. And there’s also been a leak, so I wouldn’t be surprised if they release this in the coming days.

UPDATE: Yep. The song is out today (February 4). It’s called “Black Summer” and is the first official single from their first album since 2016. Unlimited Love will arrive on April 1 and feature 17 songs over 73 minutes. It’s also the first album since the return of John Frusciante to the fold. He’s been gone ten years. And the producer is, yes, Rick Rubin.

  • This would be fine if not for the lyrics, the singing and the terrible video.
