The second annual Dave Bookman tribute concert is coming up

Dave Bookman was a Toronto radio legend, a guy who did more for indie music than anyone else I’ve ever known. His sudden death in 2019 (it was a brain aneurysm) has left a hole in the city’s radio and music scene. I worked with him for years, first at 102.1 The Edge and then at Indie 88. I miss him greatly.

Dave, though, will not be forgotten. The second annual Dave Bookman tribute concert is coming at The Garrison in Toronto on Friday, May 9. Here’s the official poster. It’s a nice touch to have his living room on display.

Note that admission is free with the donation of a non-perishable food item.
