The second week of the Diddy trial has wrapped up. Here’s what we know so far.

Diddy has been in a Brooklyn courtroom for two full workweeks now. Here’s a summary of week two.

  1. Cassie Ventura said that she loved Diddy so much that she felt a responsibility to participated in Diddy’s freak offs, parties that could last up to four days.
  2. The rest of her testimony was graphic, to say the least.
  3. Daniel Phillips, a male dancer, testified about what he was asked to do with Cassie in front of Diddy.
  4. There were lots of questions about baby oil and comments like Diddy wanted everyone “to be glistening.” The judge eventually said “ENOUGH with the baby oil talk!”
  5. One night, testified a personal assistant, Diddy went gunning for Suge Knight in Los Angeles.
  6. Kid Cudi’s testimony was wild. After Diddy torched his Porsche (with a firebomb), Cudi called Diddy a “Marvel supervillain.” Cudi also claimed that Diddy broke into his home, moved security cameras around, injured and locked away his dog, and rummaged through all his belongings, which included unwrapping Christmas gifts he’d purchased for his family.
  7. Jurors heard testimony from Dawn Hughes, a board-certified clinical and forensic psychologist, She schooled the jury on issues of domestic violence and its aftermath.
  8. George Kaplan was a Diddy employee who worked 80-100 hours a week. He originally pleased the Fifth, but now that he’s signed an immunity order, he’s talking. For US$125,000 a year, he was on call whenever Diddy wanted “clothing or potentially food from somewhere, or drugs or liquor or an iPad or a speaker.” When Diddy travled, Kaplan was sent ahead to get things ready with a special “go” back that contained clothes, a speaker, candles, liquor, baby oil, and lubricant. He also had to clean up after Diddy’s parties.
  9. Gerard Gannon, a Homeland Security Investigator described what was found during a raid of Diddy’s house in Miami. They included 18 pairs of very high-heeled platform shoes, boxes of bottles of baby oil and personal lubricant, toys, drugs, and a couple of guns, including some AR-15s.
  10. Jamie Foxx has spoken out on the rumour that Diddy once tried to kill him. Names like Britney Spears and Michael B. Jordan also came up in the trial.
  11. Justin Bieber was a Diddy protege when he was a kid, so people have been wondering if he was somehow mixed up in all this as a victim. He’s had this to say.
