Another new member of the family–which makes two in Toronto alone.  The show continues to run on the flagship station, Boom 97-3.  From the press release:

(TORONTO – February 22, 2012) NEWSTALK 1010 today announced some exciting programming additions to its schedule.

The Secret History of Rock with Alan Cross

Fridays – 10pm to midnight

Beginning this Friday, February 24, modern rock expert Alan Cross will host The Secret History of Rock with Alan Cross. This weekly 2-hour show will combine music and storytelling with a focus on the roots of hits from the 70’s, 80’s & 90’s.   Cross will also be a music and pop culture contributor on NEWSTALK 1010. 

Alan Cross

is an internationally known broadcaster, interviewer, writer, consultant, blogger and speaker. In his 40+ years in the music business, Alan has interviewed the biggest names in rock, from David Bowie and U2 to Pearl Jam and the Foo Fighters. He’s also known as a musicologist and documentarian through programs like The Ongoing History of New Music.
