The Semi-Official My Chemical Romance Poetry Slam

Brent Chittenden reports from this site’s Dept. of Nerd:

Gerard Way and James Dewees  of My Chemical Romance performed last might at Morrisoncon, which is a weird sort of comic convention put on by Grand Morrison (Batman Inc, The Invisibles, Doom Patrol, Animal Man, JLA) in Las Vegas.

Morrison has had a connection with music for some time–he helped design the cover for a Robbie Williams album–and Gerard wrote a great comic book series called The Umbrella Academy.  He’s been an unabashed Morrison fan for some time.

Everyone teamed up for a weird kind of poetry slam/music thing last night.  Naturally, there’s video.
