The Sex Pistols revisit “God Save the Queen” for Her Majesty’s platinum jubilee

Back in 1977, The Sex Pistols released their “God Save the Queen” during Queen Elizabeth’s 25th-anniversary festivities, something that greatly pissed off monarchists everywhere.

Fast forward to this summer and Liz is celebrating 70 years on the throne. This happens to coincide with the debut of director Danny Boyle’s Sex Pistols limited drama series based on the band, which starts on Disney+ on Tuesday (May 31). A new set of remastered recordings of the Pistols’ 77-78 output has just been released–and now there’s this video featuring some new footage. (Via Larry)
