The show must go on, part 2: Fan throws dead buddy’s ashes on stage at Mr. Bungle show

Mr. Bungle, one of the bands Mike Patton runs when he’s not in Faith No More, is known for having a pretty intense fanbase.

One of the attendees at a Mr. Bungle reunion show in Brooklyn on February 11 was Dakota Young. There’s no word on how he enjoyed the show because he was dead.

Young died unexpectedly earlier this year and was cremated. But since he had tickets to the Mr. Bungle gig before his death, his buddies thought they’d take him to the show anyway.

They wrapped his ashes in a pair of his underwear and tossed onstage during Mr. Bungle’s set. Naturally, there’s video.

Dakota’s ashes were swept up at the end of the show and now reside in a dumpster somewhere.
