The Singer Who Called the Queen a “Moron” Wants to Have Dinner with Her

There’s a rather good interview with Johnny Lydon in The Daily Mail. He dropped this little bombshell.

Who would your dream dinner date be?

The Queen. There’s so much to be sorted out there! A few years ago it was rumoured that I was going to be offered a knighthood, but I think the press was just poking fun at me to see if I’d bite the bullet. So I responded in my own inimitable way by saying, ‘There’s no way I’m giving that woman a sword over my head.’ I’m not interested in gongs. I’ve met several members of the Royal Family and I’ve always found them really fun. Royals are people, too. I don’t agree with the institution, but they’re human beings.

He also “apologizes to the human race.” Read the full article here.
