The Story of Nick Roma. This Will Get to You.

Nick Roma is an aspiring musician from Niagara Falls, Ontario.  A year ago, he was diagnosed with cute lymphoblastic leukemia–on Christmas Eve, no less.  This past summer, he went into a severe septic shock as the result of a blood infection.  He slipped into a coma.  Doctors had no choice but to ampulate his hands and feet to save his life.

The dude is quite a fighter.  His biggest dream now is to meet the Foo Fighters, Alexisonfire or Sum 41.  Can anyone make that happen?

My girlfriend is one of the nurses that works with Nick on his rehab everyday. This story is both tragic and uplifting. This kid's willingness and desire to beat the odds and get back as close to normal as possible is truly inspiring!
