Vinyl continues to widen its lead over CDs on the Canadian sales charts. Here are the latest numbers (with some streaming stats thrown in, too) via Luminate.

CDs sold in Canada last week: 27,967 (-1.3% from last week)
Vinyl sales in Canada last week: 28,337 (up 6.7% from a week ago)
CDs sold in Canada this year: 748,419 (down 9.9% from this point last year)
Vinyl sold in Canada this year: 846,457 (up 13.3% from a year ago)

Streaming numbers:

Songs streamed in Canada last week: 2,887,159,233 (down 1.0% from last week)
Songs streamed in Canada so far this year: 674,307,933,570 (up 5.2% from this time in 2024)
