The Wendy’s logo has gone emo. Seriously.
One of the most famous logos in the world of fast food is this one.

This is a representation of Melinda-Lou “Wendy” Thomas, the daughter of founder Dave Thomas. This logo has remained largely unchanged since the company started up back in 1969, although there have been a couple of tweaks.
But then this was spotted outside of a Wendy’s location.
If you look beyond the swoopy emo haircut with black streets, you’ll see that Wendy’s left ear is pierced twice. And to repeat: This appears on the side of an actual Wendy’s restaurant in Camden Town, London. (Opposite the Tube exit at 189 Camden High Street).
And this wasn’t the only new logo considered. Wendy crowdsourced everything on Twitter last month featuring these three choices.
Why do this in England? Because Wendy’s needs to increase its market share in the country. There are just eight locations in the country right now. Will this help? We’ll see.
