The world of music livestreams now has its own awards ceremony

With playing live and touring out of the question, many hundreds of artists have turned to performing livestreams through a variety of platforms. With so much interest in this area, it was only a matter of time before someone came up with an awards ceremony for livestreams.

LiveXLive has announced The Lockdown Awards, which will “honour artists and entertainers who create content for fans amidst the pandemic.” Here are your categories:

  • Best Virtual Festival
  • Best Show Shot with an iPhone
  • Best Use of Technology/Zoom
  • Favourite Remote Duo
  • Biggest Star Who Got It Right
  • The John Legend Award for Being Ubiquitous During a Pandemic (seriously)
