The world’s most sheltered woman is exposed to Incubus for the first time.

Elizabeth Zharoff, the trained opera singer who has missed most of the non-opera music of the 20th and 21st century, has a nice little hustle happening with her Charismatic Voice videos. Basically, she reacts to songs (in a professional capacity) while hearing a song we all know for the first time. This time it’s Incubus.

  • Elizabeth Zharoff was not just a trained opera singer. She was a professionel opera singer. Look up her performances on Youtube.
You, on the other hand, are a broadcaster, interviewer, writer, consultant, blogger and speaker. Not even a hobbyist in singing or playing an instrument.
She isn’t that sheltered, she’s stood in front of large audiences around the world and sang extremely difficult music with extremely accomplished musicians. You have not done that. Very few people have.
Frank Zappa is quoted as saying
“Definition of rock journalism: People who can’t write, doing interviews with people who can’t think, in order to prepare articles for people who can’t read.”
I think you could be a little less condescending about someone who’s skill and talent towers over your own.

    • Thank you for this. I was about to write something similar. The last time Mr. Cross referenced one of her videos, he used the term “shtick” and this time “little hustle”. Very condescending. Her videos are absolutely fantastic. Please check your ego Mr. Cross.
