Theory of a Deadman Brings the Roof Down. I Mean LITERALLY Brings It Down

The First Avenue Nightclub in Minneapolis–a Prince hangout and made famous in Purple Rain–had an issue last night. Theory of Deadman were playing their set when a big chunk of the ceiling came crashing down.

A 30 x 30 foot section of the roof fell over the balcony and the sound booth around 10pm last night as Theory of a Deadman were playing in front of about 750 people. The performance stopped and everyone was evacuated.  Three people were injured but no one was hurt too bad.

What caused the collapse? A leaky pipe. Water pooled about the ceiling and…whoosh.
