There were more Oasis reunion rumours over the weekend, but these are…different. Stand by for an announcement. [UPDATED]

This is obviously a fast-developing story. I’ll update things as we get closer to whatever is going to happen tomorrow morning.

UPDATE: There’s also a story that a major UK ticketing firm has banned employees from taking time off over the next few weeks because…something is gonna happen. There are rumours of plenty of non-disclosure agreements being signed to avoid any leaks.

UPDATE: Streams of Oasis songs have surged globally since this teasing began.

UPDATE: Totally unsubstantiated rumour: Oasis in Toronto August 24 and 25, 2025, at Downsview Park. This now-deleted leaked spreadsheet also lists dates in Cardiff, Edinburgh, Dublin, Chicago, New York, Boston, LA, and Mexico City.

UPDATE: Guesses are that the face value of tickets will start at £130.

UPDATE: This is floating around the internet. Real? Or fake?

From the moment in 2009 when Noel Gallagher walked out before a show in Paris bringing Oasis to an end, fans have been hoping for a reunion. With each passing year, promoters have thrown more and more money at the prospect. Adding to everything is Peggy Gallagher’s wish that her sons make up.

Bottom line is that for the last 15 years, stories about reconciliation, reunion, and shows have come up every 6-8 weeks. We’ve been safely been able to ignore them because they’ve all been bogus.

But there is one detail that has remained consistent: A rumour of some shows in Manchester in the summer of 2025. That idea first popped up about 18 months ago and never really went away. Long story short: Oasis would reform next summer after both Liam and Noel had finished recording and touring commitments for their respective solo careers.

That story resurfaced again over the weekend. This time, though, it wasn’t from some sketchy website or British tabloid. The deadly serious Times of London/Sunday Times reported that Oasis has been booked for Wembley Stadium next summer.

The Daily Mail–okay, a sketchy source, but still—reported that Oasis has been locked down for TEN Wembley gigs as well as a slot at Glastonbury 2025.

Then on Sunday, this appeared simulatneoulsy on social media sites run by Oasis, Noel, and Liam. What does it mean? Well, we’ll find out soon, huh? If that’s 8am GMT, we’re looking at…something at 3am EDT tomorrow (Tuesday) morning.

Why now? Noel’s recent divorce settlement cost him US$25 million and a house worth US$8 million. Liam can always use more cash. One estimate says that this reunion could be worth more than £400 million. Noel and Liam stand to getover £50 million each. Thing, too, of the merch profits, sponsorships, and video rights.

The idea of breaking Taylor Swift’s Wembley eight-show record is appealing. Glastonbury organizers are stinging from criticism about a lackluster 2024 lineup. And if you follow the constant jawing between the brothers on social media, you may have noticed that things have…softened somewhat.

Will ALL of Oasis be there? Apparently not. Word is that Noel’s High-Flying Birds will be the band. That means Bonehead, Guigsy, Andy Bell, and [insert name of any previous Oasis drummer here] will be left out. I bet they’re happy.

So will this happen? See the above countdown clock for a clue. Maybe. Possibly. I’ll believe it when I see them all walk onstage together.
