There were three musical highlights during the Olympic opening ceremonies

If you watched the entire Olympic opening ceremonies from Paris, you probably thought “This is very…French.” From the boats on the Seine to the fashion tableaus to the drag/trans bits that caused some people to lose their sh*t, it was oh so French.

For me, there were three musical highlights. Yes, the Celine Dion performance was outstanding. It was inspiring to see her singing again after all those health problems. (I did see one post on Threads that read “Celine Dion did a good job learning French so she could sing at the Olympics.” I’m hoping that was sarcasm.)

Another great part of the OCs was Snoop Dogg running with the Olympic Blunt.

And of course, French metal band Gojira added some headbanging to the proceedings.
