There’s a new album from Chris Cornell on the way. It’s a big box set, too.

When an artist passes, a hunt ensues for any unreleased material they may have left behind. Jimi Hendrix has been the king of posthumous material, although the word on Prince is that he had so much stuff in his vault that it’s literally possible to have a new Prince album every year for the next century.

Now that Chris Cornell has been gone for about 18 months (and with Christmas coming up–mercinary, I know, but such is the music business), we should be seeing something from him soon. And we apparently will.

According to Alternative Nation, a record entitled Chris Cornell is set for release on November 18. The sprawling box set will feature solo material as well as songs from Chris’ days with Soundgarden, Audioslave and Temple of the Dog. There’s also an unreleased song entitled “When Bad Does Good” (in bold below).

The original source of this is a bit dodgy (it’s a translation from an unnamed foreign leak, which explains the errors), but it’s certainly worth a look. I’ve divided it into what I assume are the four discs in the set. Note all the guest appearances, too.
