UPDATE: There’s a new doc on Rockfield, the storied UK recording studio. Here are some clips.

UPDATE: You can catch Rockfield at Hot Docs — which is running until May 9th– and then ON Demand everywhere in Canada June 1st.

Out in the Welsh countryside is a 56-year-old studio called Rockfield. Over the decades, it’s where bands like Black Sabbath, Queen, Oasis, and Coldplay have made some of their biggest records.

There’s now a doc on the place entitled Rockfield: The Studio on the Farm. Appearances include the Stone Roses, The Charlatans, Robert Plant, Simple Minds, Manic Street Preachers, and more. It will debut on May 14.
