There’s a new holiday mixtape that’s raising money for music education in Canadian schools

Whenever school budgets are cut, the first thing that seems to go are the music programs. Given the benefits of any kind of music education, this isn’t just short-sighted and counter-productive, it’s insane. That’s why I give MusiCounts props as often as I can.

MusiCounts, which is the charity associated with CARAS and the Junos, raises money to put musical instruments in Canadian schools. So far, they’ve raised over $16,000.000 million for this important cause.

This year, Lemmon Entertainment has released The Lemmon Holiday Mixtape, a collection of Canadian holiday-themed songs. Here’s the tracklist.
