There’s another big rock memorabilia auction coming up. I hope you have deep pockets.

Julien’s is an auction house that does big business in the rock memorabilia space. They have an event coming up in New York at the end of May called Music Icons. Let’s have a look at the inventory, shall we?

  • A 1975 Gibson Les Paul owned by Ace Frehley. He played this guitar more than any other. It’ll probably sell for between US$400,000 and US$600,000.
  • Stevie Ray Vaughn’s 1969 Guild F-412 that he used for an MTV unplugged show in 1990. You can have it for probably US$300,000.
  • Kirk Hammett’s “Ouija” ESP custom guitar. He used it both on stage and in the studio with Metallica. Let’s estimate its sale price somewhere north of US$250,000.
  • Too dear? Izzy Stradlin’s 1987 Gibson HR Fusion 1 will probably only cost you US$50,000.
  • Billy Duffy’s guitar as seen on the cover of The Cult’s Sonic Temple album.
  • A used gong from Black Sabbath’s Bill Ward
  • Once of Alice Cooper’s leather jackets
