There’s now a documentary on the Sam Roberts Band

Sam Roberts had his first Canadian hit twenty years ago, so it’s time to look back on his career–at least a little bit. This new Crave documentary focuses on the last couple of years including (and especially) the challenges Sam and the band had during COVID.

  • Wow! Can’t believe it has been that long since I first heard “Brother Down.” My head was on a swivel and I had to find out who was behind that song. I have been a fan ever since.
Sam Roberts reminds me of another band from Montreal from an earlier era: the Box. They were really hard working and put together some fun songs. It was funny how often I would be out at a club and they were there or go to a concert and they were the opening band. They always put on a good show. Unfortunately, I have never seen Sam Roberts live… but maybe one day I will go out and see them play.
