This could be the greatest newspaper headline of the century so far
One of the most challenging things about posting stories on websites like this is to come up with a catchy headline that will entice people to read the story. It’s not quick clickbait, but it is an art in itself.
The New York Post has always had some of the best headline writers in the world. The most celebrated is this one from 1983.

Pithy, attention-getting, shocking. In short, perfect. (The real story of the headline can be found here.)
I was reminded of the Post when I heard about a headline in the St. Catharines Standard from February 6.
TRUCKER GETS OFF AFTER NIAGARA FALLS STRIP CLUB WAITRESS STIFFED WITH TIP
“A long-haul trucker who paid his tab at a Niagara Falls gentlemen’s club with counterfeit cash has been granted an absolute discharge.
“Takura Choga was expected to stand trial Thursday in Ontario Court of Justice in St. Catharines on several charges relating to counterfeit money.”
Brilliant. Just. Bloody. Brilliant.
