This could get messy: The ex of France Bean Cobain was sent for a psych evaluation before a trial in which he alleges he was beaten and kidnapped.

Okay, this is a weird one.

In the summer of 2014, Frances Bean Cobain, daughter of Kurt and Courtney, married a musician named Isaiah Silva. As part of the nuptials, the couple was gifted with the acoustic guitar Kurt played for Nirvana’s MTV Unplugged performance.

The relationship was soon on the rocks and on March 23, 2016, Frances filed for divorce, which became final in November 2017.

However, the ill will continued. Silva refused to give back the guitar after the divorce. Much angst ensued.

Then came the story that during the divorce proceedings that Silva alleged that Sam Lufti (Courtney’s former manager), Courtney, and Frances broke into his home, caused $4,000 worth of damage, beat him up, and then tried to kidnap him, all in an effort to retrieve that legendary guitar.

Five days after the alleged incident, Silva reported the situation to police.

Then in 2018, Silva filed a lawsuit against Lufti, Courtney and Frances over that alleged break-in/beating/kidnapping.

Yesterday (July 30), Silva was apparently subjected to a psych evaluation, something requested by the defendants. The results may have a bearing on how the lawsuit will proceed.

This is gonna be interesting. More reporting here.
