This fan wanted to have his picture taken at a Tool show. Then–well, uh…

We’ve all done it. We’re someplace cool and we hand our phone to a stranger so they can take our picture. This guy, though, took that simple act to a whole new level.

Last night (October 22) at the Staples Centre in Los Angeles, this dude in a toque wanted a picture of himself with Tool’s stage setup in the background. He handed the phone to this older guy in the crowd and asked him to snap the pic. What he didn’t know is that the guy he asked to take the photo was Eddie Van Halen.

The best news about all this is that despite all the rumours regarding Eddie’s health is that he seems to be fine. Good.
