Every parent wants the best for their kids which often extends to their musical education. Not only will they encourage the sprog to take music lessons, they will also attempt to expose them to what they believe to be good music.

This, however, does not work. Witness poor Jerry O’Connell who tried to expose his kids to the genius of Prince.
