This is awkward: Foo Fighters invite a kid onstage to play drums–and then he won’t leave

The Foo Fighters are one of those bands that enjoys some solid crowd participation. But these sorts of stage invitations can be hit and miss.

On the positive side, the Foos had a great experience with a fan dubbed The KISS Guy. His guitar-playing moment with the Foos went viral. The dude was awesome.

This new video is also going viral, but for the wrong reasons.

At a show in Nashville, Dave Grohl invited an 8-year-old kid named Little Fonzie (seriously?) to play drums. He launched into a drum solo, which he apparently thought was an audition to join the band. He wouldn’t leave. Taylor Hawkins must have wondered if he’d just been fired. Awkward.
