This is the latest Canadian CD and vinyl sales report. We’ll look at streaming, too (14 May 2026)

As we go into the first long weekend of the Canadian summer, here’s where CD and vinyl sales are so far in 2026. Streaming numbers follow.

  • CDs sold in Canada last week: 27,978 (Up 0.1% from last week.)
  • Vinyl sales in Canada last week: 33,614 (Down 7.5% from last week.)
  • CDs sold in Canada this year: 537,142 (Up 1.3% from a year ago. Sales continue to trend up.)
  • Vinyl sold in Canada this year: 651,936 (Up 5.4% from this time last year.)

  Streaming numbers:

  • Songs streamed in Canada last week: 3,006,901,565 (Down 0.9% from a week ago. This is the fourth week in a row where streams exceeded three billion.)
  • Songs streamed in Canada so far this year: 52,867,509,595 (Up 3.4% from last year.)
