This is why every rock band needs a good logo

Logos are everywhere because they work when it comes to recall. And having someone remember your name/product/service is the first step towards getting someone to buy whatever it is you’re offering.

This is why every artist needs a logo, not just to sear their name into the minds of potential fans but for marketing, artwork, and merch. And the best logos are the kind that encapsulate what the artist is all about without anyone having heard a note.

But who has the best logos? A company called TickPick tried to find out. They tested 100 music fans to see which logos they could draw by memory.

Rock bands won the day with Nirvana’s smiley face being the one most people could sketch out.
