Everything is up this week: sales of vinyl, sales of CD, and the number of songs streamed. These are the latest numbers from Luminate.
- CDs sold in Canada last week: 32,511 (up 3.0% from last week)
- Vinyl sales in Canada last week: 30,897 (up 4.9%. Another Ozzy/Sabbath bump?)
- CDs sold in Canada this year: 941,177 (down 7.8% from this point last year)
- Vinyl sold in Canada this year: 1,032,387 (up 15.1% from a year ago).
Streaming numbers:
- Songs streamed in Canada last week: 2,895,006,567 (up 0.6% from last week)
- Songs streamed in Canada so far this year: 91,775,285,347 (up 5.5% from this time in 2024. We should hit 100 million in about three weeks.)
