There are some declines in Canadian CD and vinyl sales this week, but just wait until all the numbers from the simultaneous release of Drake’s three new albums are factored in next week.

  • CDs sold in Canada last week: 27,125 (Down 4.4% from last week.)
  • Vinyl sales in Canada last week: 27,760 (Down 12.4% from last week.)
  • CDs sold in Canada this year: 592,625 (Up 1.5% from a year ago. Sales continue to trend up.)
  • Vinyl sold in Canada this year: 711,182 (Up 4.9% from this time last year.)

  Streaming numbers:

  • Songs streamed in Canada last week: 3,191,012,053 (Up 1.5% from a week ago. This is the sixth week in a row where streams exceeded three billion.)
  • Songs streamed in Canada so far this year: 58,937,176,435 (Up 6.4% from last year.)
