This is your weekly Canadian CD and vinyl sales report along with some streaming numbers (20 Nov 2025)

It looks like holiday shopping is starting to have an effect. The numbers two weeks from now–the ones following Black Friday–will most likely be the biggest of the quarter. Meanwhile, here’s what Luminate reported this week.

  • CDs sold in Canada last week: 33,230. (Up 15.5% from last week)
  • Vinyl sales in Canada last week: 39,117 (Up 15.5% from a week ago.)
  • CDs sold in Canada this year: 1,376,462 (down 3.0% from this point last year)
  • Vinyl sold in Canada this year: 1,511,517 (up 18.8% from a year ago).

 Streaming numbers:

  • Songs streamed in Canada last week: 2,879,116,413 (Up 0.8% from a week ago)
  • Songs streamed in Canada so far this year: 129,693,477,433 (up 5.7% from this time in 2024)
