This is your weekly Canadian CD and vinyl sales report plus the latest streaming numbers (02 Jan 2026)

These are the Canadian CD sales and vinyl numbers for the week ending December 25, which means it’s the second-last set of stats for 2025. Note that more than two million pieces of vinyl have been sold this year. That hasn’t happened in decades.

  • CDs sold in Canada last week: 64,858 (Down 1.3% from last week)
  • Vinyl sales in Canada last week: 104,443 (Up 3.5% from a week ago)
  • CDs sold in Canada this year: 1,683,665 (Down 2.8% from this point last year)
  • Vinyl sold in Canada this year: 2,061,461(Up 19.0% from a year ago).

  Streaming numbers:

  • Songs streamed in Canada last week: 2,990,291,050 (Down 0.1% from a week ago)
  • Songs streamed in Canada so far this year: 147,590,807,077 (Up 5.6% from this time in 2024)
