Another week, another sales gain for vinyl over CDs. Streaming is up, too. Here are the official numbers from Luminate.

CDs sold in Canada last week: 27,008 (down 16.7% from last week)
Vinyl sales in Canada last week: 29,317 (down 16.7%)
CDs sold in Canada this year: 1,069,389 (down 6.8% from this point last year)
Vinyl sold in Canada this year: 1,169,922 (up 16.7% from a year ago).

Streaming numbers:

Songs streamed in Canada last week: 2,032,687,819 (up 1.3% from last week)
Songs streamed in Canada so far this year: 103,407,694,351 (up 5.6% from this time in 2024)
