Canadians continue to buy vinyl at a faster rate than at any time in the last 35 years. These are the latest sales figures courtesy Luminate.

  • CDs sold in Canada last week: 26,728 (down 4.0% from last week)
  • Vinyl sales in Canada last week: 29,746 (down 7.2% from last week)
  • CDs sold in Canada this year: 555,861 (down 7.9% from this same week last year)
  • Vinyl sold in Canada this year: 644,016 (up 14.2% from this point in 2024)

Streaming numbers:

  • Songs streamed in Canada last week: 2,968,0326,405 (up 1.6% from a week earlier)
  • Songs streamed in Canada so far this year: 53,750,469,585 (up 5.6% from this time last year)
